I was asked to create an academic research portfolio for Alexander Mead, who is currently holding a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of British Columbia.
Alexander wanted a site that could easily showcase his research interest and publications. It should be lightweight in design.
Research and development
After some research I found that academic portfolios tend to prioritse areas of research and publication history, so I wanted to keep this information on the homepage. I used navigation links at the top of the page to allow the user to hop to these sections quickly. At a later stage Alexander approached me and asked me to incorporate two additional pages for specific research projects, so I restructured the navigation to allow for a better mobile experience...and also gave the site a fresh lick of paint!
